A web team that sticks around

Small, technically deep, and based in Baltimore. We build, we maintain, and we ship our own software to prove it.

Hi, we're Spotfin — a small, technically deep web shop in Baltimore. We build and maintain WordPress and ecommerce sites for teams that need them to be rock solid, and we ship our own products and plugins along the way.

The name comes from the lionfish — small, striking, and a lot tougher than it looks. That suits us. We're not a big agency, and we don't try to be. What we are is the team you'd hire anyway: the people who know WooCommerce, PunchOut, and high-traffic checkout flows, and who keep showing up after launch.

These days we lead with products and services together. Our flagships, TakoApp and Bearings, each live on their own site, and our plugin catalog keeps growing. If you need something specific, there's a good chance we've probably done it.

Utility first

Clarity beats decoration. We build interfaces that feel like tools made by people who ship software.

Show the work

Our plugin catalog and shipped products are the proof. We'd rather point at code than a case study.

Stick around

Most of our relationships are measured in years, not projects. We maintain what we build.

We have a plan for you, and if not, we can make one.
